Dimensional Magic

There is this cool product called Dimensional Magic made by Mod Podge that I really want to try.
I have found two really cute crafts that other people have made from it.
I LOVE this key chain and I can't wait to make one with a Cherry Pepsi can!
It was made by Diary of a Crafty Lady.
I also love these scissors and will probably try making some for my kids' teachers next year.
I found the tutorial for this at Skip to My Lou.
It is one of my favorite sites for ideas for teacher gifts and fun projects to do with my kids.

Easy Dessert Bars

We have three May birthdays in our family.  By the time my husband's rolls around, we have had ENOUGH cake!  So, I always try and think of a new treat to make for his special day.  This year I made these Easy Dessert Bars.  My husband actually first tried these on a business trip to Hawaii and brought home the recipe. They were really good.  They reminded me of the Samoas Girl Scout cookies.  We will definitely be making these again!

End of Year Teacher Gift - M&M Poem

For an end of year teacher gift, I found this cute M&M poem online.  I don't remember exactly where I got it from, but it is really easy to find if you search for it.  I bought some glass jars from Ikea and filled them with M&M's.  Each jar took about 2 regular size packages of M&M's.

Then using my digital scrapbooking program I made a 5x7 with the poem printed four different times with the teacher's name on each card and each of my kid's names.  Doing it as a 5x7 I was able to have each card be approximately wallet size and I only had to pay about 40 cents to have it printed.  The wallet size seemed to work out well with the size of the jars.
I hope that the teachers like this gift.  We appreciate everything they do for our kids!

Faux Fur Blanket

Okay, I have all of these cute craft ideas saved in my email and bookmarked.  I decided to post them here in a nice tidy spot and when I decide to actually follow through with a project, the links will be here.
I have been following the website Infarrantly Creative.  She has a lot of fun ideas.  I loved the idea for this faux fur blanket.  They look so comfy to snuggle in on a cold winter night!  I am a little late this year, maybe I will get one made before next winter!

Taco Melts

I found this recipe not too long ago.  We all really liked it.  I have made it quite a few times already.  It helps that the meat mixture is enough to cover two cans of biscuits.  It makes it really easy to put together a second meal.

Stuffed Animal Storage

I love the idea of storing stuffed animals in a beanbag!  If we hadn't just donated most of ours to DI, I would definitely be buying one.  Amazon sells a really fun version with a zip up "window".  I have got to remember this idea.

Sugar Crinkles

This is one of my family's favorite cookie recipes.  It is easy and they love it, so we make them all the time.  I usually prefer something with chocolate, but these are really good when they are fresh and warm from the oven!

Cardboard Kitchen

I love this idea for a cardboard kitchen!
I wish that my kids were still small enough for this.
What a fun project!

Coupon Binder

I started really couponing a few months ago.  I had a hard time deciding which method to go with.  I ended up buying and returning a lot of binders.  None of them had everything I was looking for.  I found this Case-It zipper binder on Amazon for $12.99.  So far I am really happy with it.  I love that it zips and has a shoulder strap and a handle.  I also like that it is not too huge.  I think that it will pay for itself in the long run by keeping my coupons better organized and easier to transport.

Super Cute Lemonade Jars

For Teacher Appreciation Week we gave our teachers cute lemonade jars at their luncheon.  These are so fun!  They would be great for any garden party or summer picnic.  The lids can be found at Candle Soylutions and they fit on standard size Mason jars.
I really love these lids and can't wait to find another occasion to use them!

Why I am a Lucky Mom

I am a lucky mom because I have three healthy, happy kids.  I am so glad that they are smart, kind and funny.  I am also lucky enough to have been able to be a stay at home mom to them since my first was born.
I am lucky to have a great family that lives close to us.  I love having my sisters around!
I am also lucky that there are so many creative, smart people out in "blog land" that give me inspiration for organizing, couponing, scrapbooking and crafting.  I hope that this blog helps me keep all of those fun ideas organized.
